Results.
At the end of the day that is the motivation behind what we do. We are looking for results—revenue growth, improved profitability, efficiencies in process, and productivity from resources. The reason my clients stay life-long colleagues and refer me is because they trust me to provide results! It is important to me to honor that and only recommend things that lead to results. So it is with the highest recommendation I suggest that if you are a distributor or manufacturer (or have an investment interest in one), you strongly consider attending the Advanced Profit Innovation Conference in Scottsdale, AZ March 4th and 5th. This is a by invitation only event; as a speaker I am pleased to invite you.*
I was introduced to the concept of customer profitability through a client of mine as we were discussing the value of analytics. He had come across a solution that was affordable and easy to use and was saving him hundreds of thousands of dollars in his first year. Since then, he has taken his company to a whole new level.
Often my clients are looking for investment dollars for the new initiatives that their strategic plans prescribe. I have introduced several of them to the concept of maximizing profit per customer as a means to drive significant profit improvement in a matter of months so that they can self-fund growth. Why? Because it works.
How well does it work?
According to Jonathan Byrnes, author of Islands of Profit in a Sea of Red Ink and a frequent conference speaker, it’s not unusual to double the profits of a company within a year or two. He had one company that tripled its stock price within two years and had 40 percent profit lifts in the places where the company had initiatives. “The results are really very fast and striking however they seem confined to a relatively small number of companies. The companies that we deal with have been extremely successful and they are almost always the leaders in their field. The people who come to us are typically the ones that are doing the best and they want to become 2 or 3 times as good.”
The details of the conference can be found at www.apicconference.com.
I will be speaking at the conference and will be there to introduce you to the thought leaders of this new way of thinking about profitability management. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
